Our Post-Operative MLD course teaches safe, research-based Fluoroscopy Guided MLD for clients recovering from surgery. Training covers theory, research, protocols and MLD for improved healing and recovery.

Training consists of (non-exhaustive list)  

• Anatomy and physiology of the lymphatics

• Overview of common surgical techniques

• Effects and considerations for post surgical MLD

• Wound healing and scar management

• Indications, contraindications and safe, effective treatment

• Manual Lymphatic Drainage for:

  • General surgeries such as gynae and oncology

  • Orthopaedic surgery such as joint replacements

  • Liposuction, tummy tuck, 'mummy makeover'

  • Cosmetic and aesthetic procedures

This course is delivered by multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals. Hear directly from nurses, MLD experts, surgeons and more!

By the end of this course, you will be able to carry out FG-MLD for post surgical clients with considerations for scars, wounds, and recovery.​

This training is suitable for: Level 3 trained Manual Therapists, nurses, PTs, OTs who have completed some MLD training and want to expand their skills into post-surgical care.

This course will be delivered through mixed methods (blended learning). The course will contain elements of self study, online live webinars and in-person practical training. 

Completion of the course will require passing a multiple choice theory, case study assignment and a final practical skill assessment.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certification in ‘Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) for Post Surgery' from one of the UK's most renowned schools of MLD.​

There is no set re-certification for this certificate, however you are welcome to return and join us for other training events in the future.
