Lou James (MNZM) founder of PINC&STEEL International and Jane Wigg of The Lymphoedema Training Academy (LTA) are recognised leaders in education and training. Their specialised courses for medical and allied health professionals aim to extend scope, broaden expertise, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients.
Lou James is the pioneering force behind the cancer rehabilitation movement in New Zealand and Australia. Thanks to her outstanding work over the last 15 years, thousands of people worldwide have been support by Certified PINC & STEEL clinicians to achieve their goals after a cancer diagnosis. PINC&STEEL International offers a range of quality evidenced-based education programmes and scholarships and is now the largest cancer rehabilitation education program in Australasia.
In 2017 Lou was recognised for her pioneering work by being included in the Queens’ Honours List with a New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to cancer.
Jane Wigg (RGN, MSc) has been at the forefront of lymphoedema management for over 25 years. A trailblazer and innovator, commencing one of the first lymphoedema clinics in the UK. LTA is a leader in the provision of quality education of lymphoedema and a pioneer of Fluoroscopy Guided Manual Lymphatic Drainage (FG-MLD®) and ICG imaging, advocating best practice in lymphoedema care.
LTA and PINC&STEEL International host a range of specialised courses via a blended learning approach, enabling students to learn from anywhere across the world with support of specialist trainers and quality online capability.
