The 'complete package' comprises a 10 day training course aiming to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out Medical lymphatic drainage and lymphoedema management.

80 hours classroom tuition, 25hours self learning and practice. Clinical placements as required. Taught in 3 blocks

Aims
1. To provide evidenced based learning in theory and practice of the lymphatic system and lymphoedema therapy.
2. Ensure a competent practitioner on completion of course.
3. Ensure Competence of MLD for all areas of the body and types of lymphoedema.

Assessment; this takes place in the form of 2 theory and 1 practical exam with ongoing assessment

Following successful completion you will receive a certificate of training from Leduc UK, recognized by MLD UK (www.mlduk.co.uk) and access to the ‘privilege site’ on www.lympho.net (Prof Leducs Website) where you will have access to their latest experiments and scientific research.

As with all MLD in the UK, the therapist will be required to update every 2 years to ensure they maintain their qualification.
